To create the "Queen of the Moon" I started with a normal box using the box modeling technique. By creating the face first I have an idea how the girl should look at the end. During the modeling process I like to look at photos of girls that I think might fit in this role in order to get ideas for important facial features, certain eye expressions and so on. I always model the face with a neutral expression to have as much control of it as possible until the end; I do the same for the rest of the model. At the end of the modeling process I get naked torso in a neutral position. At the end of the modeling process I get naked torso in a neutral position.
After the model is complete I start unwrapping the UV's and export them into Photoshop. This process always takes a lot of time because I paint most of the skin texture myself and for the rest I use photo references. Once I finish the skin's diffused color map I convert it into grey scale and work out the specular and bump map. In this stage I finish the skin and eyes.
