Making Of Queen Of the Moon by Erasmus Brosdau

The Pose
The next step is the creation of the pose. I usually have the pose in mind from the beginning but it’s still possible that I get a new idea in the first stages and do something different. For this image I wanted a kind of cool pose with her face looking away from the camera. After finishing her rig with normal bones and IK solvers I came up with the idea of having her holding some big jewelry so I placed her hand in front of her body holding up the jewelry and presenting it. Next I modeled the chain of pearls and the big diamond and placed them in the right position. In order to make her impression and outer appearance more mystical I placed the camera at the level of her hands and looking up to her face.

The Clothes and Hair

After finishing her pose I added the clothes. For that process I used the existing poly structure of her body and detached the areas that I wanted covered by clothes. I then started adding extra polygons and the shell modifier and created all of the folds by hand. For her fur collar and her hair I used the hair and fur plug-in, styled them and rendered them as mental ray primitives.
