Ambient Design will release two new products, ArtRage Studio and ArtRage Studio Pro Monday, Dec 14. The interface has been redesigned for use with touch screens on Windows 7 computers and many paint and drawing tools have been added to satisfy advanced users.

New Tools:
ArtRage studio adds loads of new tools to your toolkit,
including: A Watercolor brush, an auto smoothing Inking
Pen for fine line work, Flood Fill, a Selection tool, a Text Tool
that allows live editing of text on layers, the special effect Gloop
Pen, and more.
You can store presets for each tool let you get back
to your previous settings quickly and easily, and assign
them preview images for easy recognition.
It's not just about the new tools either! Many of the
old tools have new settings, including a new wet blender
and a square oil brush head. The airbrush is faster and
more precise, the pencil lets you apply automatic smoothing
to your strokes, and all tools can make use of the new Real Color
Blending mode that means yellow plus blue is finally green!
New Interface: Who are we to tell you how your panels should be laid out? Now you can tear them off and drop them on another screen, scale them and rotate them however you want. The new Pods feature gives you easy access to important functions without taking up space. Touch Screen users will find it easy to manipulate panels and objects. You can even change the interface tint if lime green just isn't your thing!
Utilities: We added a Canvas Puck that lets you navigate around
your painting quickly, and Tooltips, because sometimes a word
can be worth a thousand pictures. We also added a shortcut
key for straight line drawing and DPI support to all image
formats.
The Transform Tool gives you quick access to changing the scale, position, and rotation of objects on the canvas. Studio Pro comes with color adjustment and blur capabilities so you can tweak your art without having to leave the product.

Introducing ArtRage Studio & Studio Pro:
ArtRage will come in 2 flavors: Studio Pro for users who want higher end editing systems and tool settings, and Studio for users who don't need the professional bells and whistles. Both versions include all of the painting tools.
So you want to decorate a tree with baubles but you’re
not sure which baubles to use? No problem! Just open up a sheet
of bauble Stickers and drag the ones you want on to your canvas.
When they’re there, you can scale, rotate and move them
around without losing image quality, and delete them if you want
to later.
Want a thousand pebbles on a beach? Sure! Pick up the Sticker Spray, select a Pebbles sheet and spray them on to the canvas. The Sticker Spray can adjust their size intelligently as you spray so you don’t have to worry about changing tool size for perspective.
Sprayed a hundred crows on to the canvas but one just looks
wrong? Easy to fix: Stickers take the ‘Undo-Repeat’ out
of the process of creating that perfect flock. In ArtRage
Studio Pro, sprayed stickers are micro-layer objects so you can
post-edit any of them so that one annoying crow can be moved,
scaled, rotated or deleted without affecting any of the others
in your carefully constructed flock.
Best of all, stickers aren’t just flat color images. They
support texture, gloss, and metallicity so you can take
advantage of all of the visual effects ArtRage has to offer with
every sticker you place or spray.
