Dl: We Used Proprietary Rigs.

Dl: Most Of The Time Was Spent On Despereaux And Roscuro, The Two Main Characters Who Carried The Emotional Weight Of The Movie And Had To Give Very Subtle Performances.

IA: I Guess That Hairs And Fur Were Critical Parts For The Character’s Design. Can You Provide Details About The Way You Designed Them, And The Tools Used?

Dl: We Used Proprietary Rigs Hair System... Since Every Character Had Hair And Clothing Rendered, Times Had To Be Optimized And Efficient.



IA: What Were The Most Difficult Shots To Deliver?

Dl: There Were More Than 400 Crowd Shots In The Film. I Think One Of The Most Challenging Shots Is The Entrance To Mouse World... A Long Tracking Shot That Starts Underwater.

IA: Does Framestore Render The Movie With Its Own Hardware? Can We Have Details About This?

Dl: We Have A Huge Render Farm Offsite With More Than 5,000 Props.
