Neil Blevins
Neil Blevins started off painting and drawing traditionally, and then got into 3d graphics while still living in his home country of Canada. After getting a BFA in Design Art, he moved to Los Angeles where he worked for Blur Studio.He now lives in San Francisco working as a Technical Director for Pixar. In his spare time, he makes sci-fi 3d/2d hybrid artwork, author tools and writes art related lessons and tutorials for his website.
Till Nowak
Till Nowak is a digital artist, designer and filmmaker, born in 1980. Since 1999 Till works as a professional computer graphics artist on his own independent projects and as an efficient one-man-production-company. His clients include Aardman Animations, H.R. Giger, ZDF, SCHOTT AG, creative agencies like Jung von Matt, Ogilvy, TMC, FischerAppelt tv media and others. Until 2008 he lived and worked in Mainz, Germany, today he is based in Hamburg.
Tills work has been exhibited in hundreds of international film festivals, featured in books and at SIGGRAPH 2006, 2007 and 2009 and was awarded with more than 35 first prizes, for example in Annecy or at the AFI Fest Hollywood. Besides his studio work Till has given lectures about his workflows in international events, for example at universities and in Korea, Australia, at the 361° conference in Mumbai and the NIFFF in Neuchatel and worked as jury member in various film festivals.
Sylvain Nouveau
Sylvain Nouveau starts is carrier in 2007 with the acclaimed short movie Hugh (www.hugh-lefilm.com).
He then joins Allegorithmic where he's worked on the integration of Substance technology in Flame 2010. He's now working as Lead FX for nWave Digital, working on "Around the World in 50 years", a 3D animated movie scheduled in 2010.
Olivier Perrot
Olivier is the editor in chief of french CGI portal www.3dvf.com.
Since 10 years, he is working on learning and promoting computer graphic art, developping connections and CGI knowlenge in dedicated festivals, schools, companies...
Since 2004, 3DVF had opened its own e-store www.3dvf.fr, purposing services to animation and Vfx schools and professionnals, resseling major hardware and software solutions (Autodesk, Adobe, Nvidia, Pixars's Renderman, HP...) in partnership with Progiss company (www.progiss.com). 3DVF has also a web portal dedidated to help studios to recrut and jobseekers to find new jobs : www.CGJOBS.eu.
Nick Harris
Nick began working as a full time freelance illustrator in 1982, finding commissions through his long time agent, Virgil Pomfret. He died in February 2009 unfortunately, but Nick now rub shoulders with the Beehive agency to find work - which consists mostly of producing images for children's publishing, but has involved brief forays into animation related jobs and advertising. Nearly twenty years as a watercolourist have given way to a total move to digital, which he's been using for the last seven or eight years.He lives with his family, dog, cat and four rats in The west country city of Gloucester in the UK. Favourite software - Sketchbook Pro 2010, ArtRage (soon to be 3) and Painter.
Kirsi Salonen
Kirsi Salonen is a Finnish digital painter, illustrator and concept artist, graduated from South-Karelia's University of Applied Sciences '06 as Bachelor of Fine Arts with specialization in multimedia. With over 6 years of experience in CG industry, Kirsi Salonen has worked for clients such from Sony Imageworks, Fantasy Flight Games and Black Halo Entertainment. Kirsi's been awarded and commissioned by industry's leading communities and publications such as Ballistic Publishing, Corel Painter, Epilogue, CGSociety, Imagine FX, 3D Total and It's Art.
Since 2007 she's been the writer of her own 4-part fantasy- saga
entitled “Ordera”, building up her portfolio and is very excited the
future of her career.
Eric Scala
Eric Scala made his studies at Henry IV where he has obtained a bac D and an E.N.S.A.D. degree (Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs) in the discipline of animation. After some time spent creating animation for the commercial industry, Eric has started to paint.
Elected Sociciétaire of Salon d'Automne under Mac-Avoy, Eric has exposed in numerous galleries. Since the birth of his first child in 2000, he has discovered digital art become a renowned illustrator. He has won numerous prestigious prizes from all over the world and has released more than 150 book covers.
Cris de Lara
Cris de Lara is a female brazilian Illustrator and digital painter, owner (with her husband) of Artepixel Illustration and Digital Painting studio for the past 13 years. She's worked with art commissioning for several clients (publishers, advertisement/marketing agencies, training/teaching companies, web designers, etc.), in many areas: Graphic design, publishing,concept art, Pinups, illustration, painting/coloring, 2D animation, teaching/training, comic books and consultancy.
