For more than two years now, IT'S ART has given many artists the opportunity to show their short films and share their experience in creating them with a worldwide audience through the IT'S ART website (www.itsartmag.com) and IT'S ART magazine.

These short films can be viewed on the IT'S ART website as well as on a dedicated YouTube channel. The first film, Fin Ete (End of Summer), is one of my favorite CG shorts ever. I love the mood and the melancholy and beautiful colors used in this drama.

After so much emotion we present The Planet by Michael Sorrman, which is a perfect example of a comedy-action short. In some ways it reminds me of the work of Aardman.

Funkphonic, by Rick Tank, has to be seen as a sort of poetic musical short where the colors and music create a perfect dialogue.

Next we have Marcelino and Bartolomeo, which is really a pure piece of comedy and the kind of short film that leaves without doubt in the animation skills of its’ director.

Peas and Carrots is another short done by a French team. Technically seamless and served by an intelligent scenario, Peas and Carrots is a short not to be missed.

Clockworks, has been chosen not only because it shows a special animation technique, stop motion, but also because it is a true and philosophical story that is well served by it’s wonderful direction.

Loop, is one of those conceptual films that you can't get out your mind once you've seen it. It could be seen as something very simple, but if you look at it closely you'll discover a complex universal story about evolution.

Because it is easy for us to forget our childhood and its magical dreams, Carried Away was a natural choice for me as it brought me back in time. I added this short to this playlist as a tribute to this special moment of life.

To stay with this dream like mood I choose to highlight next Papiroflexia with its poetic 'origami' work. It's also a great tribute to surrealism and traditional animation.

Then I chose to show 'The Animatior and its Seat' which grabbed my attention because of how it transforms a reality quickly into a fantasy world. Yet, it is also a funny story and a metaphor about how an animator can overcome his loneliness thanks to his creative skills.

I also feature Gootchi and Dootchi because of the madness of it that lies somewhere between horror and absurdity.

Finally, 'Replay' is the perfect short to end this playlist. This short is a superb reflection about humankind, progress and nature.
